Bold Statements
For deep jewel-toned pieces, consider accent colors you might want to use as highlights. If a tiara is done entirely in a single shade, the monotone piece tends to look flat and one-dimensional, so color effects fool the eye and give it presence. This is done with lighter, darker or complimenting accent colors.
You can use clear crystal, which, like diamonds, reflect light into other stones and make rich colors more brilliant.
Dark-lights are often a combination of black, reflective metals, (like silver) and similar shades to the primary color, which create a sleek, monochromatic look while still lending depth.
Accents are small doses of color that compliment the main shade by emphasizing without clashing or competing.
Choosing your highlights is mainly a question of personal preference, but we will work with you and offer suggestions if you find you need assistance.
